Forest Portrait: Whitebark Pine Crown | Caribou-Targhee National Forest

Living up to 1300 years and slow growing, Whitebark Pine was declared endangered by fungus and beetle infestations in 2011. U.S. Fish and Wildlife stated they neither had the resources nor staff to sustain a protection strategy. In that void, the Whitebark Pine Ecosystem Foundation was formed to develop a science-based response.

For each non-coupon sale of this print, Studio 47.60 North will donate 30% of our profits to the Whitebark Pine Ecosystem Foundation to support their efforts to protect this vital link in alpine ecosystems.
